User Parking Reservations

Facility users can purchase reserved parking on campus when making lab reservations.

  • Please indicate how many vehicles you will be bringing to campus.
  • Up to 3 parking passes are available for $10/day.
  • Availability depends upon other activities or reservations in the lab.

Arriving at the Lab

A 30-minute loading area is located behind the building.
  1. When first arriving to use the lab, come directly to the Phoenix Memorial Building and park temporarily in the 30-minute loading area behind the building. Do not park in any spaces labeled “Business Vehicle.”
  1. A Battery Lab staff member will help you unload and bring out your parking pass(es). If you do not have a reserved parking pass, visitor parking is available at a number of locations on campus. (More details below.)

  2. With your pass displayed on your rear-view mirror, proceed to your reserved parking space. Permits are valid only in the spaces marked “Reserved Parking U-M Battery Lab.”

  3. If your space is occupied, contact the Battery Lab staff for immediate assistance.

Visitor Parking 

Metered parking is available in visitor lots around campus. Guests are responsible for all meter charges.

  • NC5 – School of Information-North
  • NC43 – Art & Architecture Building
  • NC26 – Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
